The way your carers worked together was impressive too, and one day when Mum was having particular difficulty getting out of bed a second carer was there within minutes. Your communication within the team was excellent too, and when Mum had a fall one night all her carers were aware by the next morning.
What made the real difference to Mum’s quality of life though was the way you all related to her. Despite her initial reticence regarding care, she soon thought of you as friends. There was a warmth and a respect shown to her that was obviously very genuine, and she responded well to this, trusting you and working with you.
